Milano Unica, the fair for apparel fabrics and accessories, takes place at Fiera Milano in Rho. Weaving mills and trim makers show their collections a season ahead, so this is where the materials for future collections are chosen. We help brands and manufacturers get results from the trip: we select booths in advance, collect swatches, compare prices and minimum lengths. Then we connect the chosen fabric with production in Prato, so you do not have to look for a factory separately.
Milano Unica dates
In 2027 Milano Unica takes place twice: 2-4 February and 6-8 July, at Fiera Milano (Rho). The dates are confirmed by the organiser. As a rule, February shows fabrics for the following spring-summer and July for fall-winter.
Registration
The fair is for industry professionals only. Registration and accreditation are done online on the Milano Unica website in advance. Large weaving mills often have a tight schedule at their booths, so it is best to agree meetings before you travel.
Where to stay and getting there
Fiera Milano is in Rho, northwest of Milan. Metro line M1 runs to Rho Fieramilano station. You can stay in Milan or closer to the fairground. Florence is about two hours from Milan by high-speed train, so a Prato factory visit fits well on the following day.

When to start
1-2 months before the fair: December for the February edition, May for July. Prepare sketches or style references in advance, and the fabric search will be more precise.

What is the minimum fabric length I can order?
It depends on the mill and the article. Stock-service fabrics can often be bought in short lengths, while made-to-order fabric usually needs a larger volume. We confirm it before the meeting.
Can I choose fabric at the fair and have it sewn in Prato?
Yes, that is exactly how we plan the trip: you choose the fabric at Milano Unica, and sewing and samples are done in Prato factories.
What if I cannot travel?
We collect swatches and information at the booths, send them to you and discuss the options on a video call.
