Pronto moda (Italian for "ready fashion") is the fast fashion model behind the wholesale side of Prato. Showrooms make short runs of each style and put them on sale within days of design. Once a run sells out it is, as a rule, not repeated, and the next styles are already on the rails. Sales are business to business only, usually in size runs per style. At this pace, finding a supplier matters less than choosing again and again among a constant flow of new styles. What is the minimum order in pronto moda showrooms?
As a rule, a showroom sells a size run per style, typically 3 to 6 pieces, and some also have a minimum spend. Terms depend on the showroom. Our €500 minimum applies to the whole order, so you can buy a little from several showrooms as long as each one's minimum is met.
Can I buy a single piece to try?
No. Pronto moda showrooms sell wholesale only and, as a rule, do not sell single pieces, and we buy for shops and brands from €500. That amount usually covers several styles in full size runs.
Why do I need to pay quickly?
A showroom holds the goods you picked only for a short time, usually until payment arrives, and runs are small. So it is best to pay the showroom's invoice within 24 hours. Invoices come from the suppliers themselves: we pass them on to you and make sure the goods stay reserved.
How many showrooms can we cover in one session?
Usually several, depending on the distance between them and the size of the order. We agree the route in advance and split a large order across several sessions.
When should I avoid planning a buying round?
In August many Prato showrooms and factories typically close for a few weeks, especially around 15 August. Before buying we check who is open, and we advise planning seasonal deliveries early.
How long does delivery take?
Goods in stock are usually collected and checked within a few working days. After that, timing depends on the shipping method and the destination country. When goods are exported outside the EU, Italian VAT is, as a rule, not charged, provided customs confirms the export.
