Shipping from Italy to Kazakhstan
We ship orders from Prato and Florence to Almaty, Astana and other cities by truck or air, with the documents EAEU customs requires.
Kazakhstan is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), so goods from Italy clear customs under EAEU rules. Duty depends on the EAEU commodity code (TN VED), and import VAT is as a rule payable: from 1 January 2026 Kazakhstan's standard VAT rate is 16%. Work out the figures for your product with a customs representative before you pay the factory. Clothing, knitwear, textiles and leather goods fall under technical regulation TR CU 017/2011 on the safety of light industry products. The declaration or certificate of conformity is issued to an applicant registered in the EAEU, usually the importer. On the Italian side, we gather everything that only the factory can provide.
What we do for shipments to Kazakhstan
Road freight
Groupage trucks: the best fit for clothing and fabric orders from a few boxes up to a full truckload. Route and transit time are agreed with the carrier.
Air via hubs
For urgent orders we ship air cargo with a transfer to Almaty or Astana.
Conformity data
We request fibre compositions, style descriptions, label photos and any existing test reports from the factories for your certification body.
Labels and compositions
We check the label composition against the actual product and agree Russian and Kazakh labels with the factory in advance.
Consolidation
We receive goods from different suppliers, count them and pack them for long-haul road transport.
Export from Italy
We prepare the invoice, packing list and export declaration, and obtain a certificate of origin on request.
Why it's more reliable with us
No language barrier
You talk to us in English or Russian, we talk to the factory in Italian, so nothing gets lost in translation.
No surprises on composition
We check labelling while the goods are still in Italy: a mismatch between label and documents causes problems at certification.
Small wholesale
We accept orders from €500, so you can start with a trial lot for a new boutique.
Transparent pricing
7 to 10% commission on the order value; shipping is quoted separately for each lot.
FAQ
What will I pay at Kazakh customs?
Import duty based on the TN VED code, import VAT (standard rate 16% from 2026) and customs fees. For some goods Kazakhstan applies rates that differ from the common EAEU tariff, so a customs representative should make the exact calculation.
Do Italian clothes need certification?
As a rule, yes: most light industry products fall under TR CU 017/2011 and need a declaration or certificate of conformity plus the EAC mark. The form depends on the product type and is confirmed by the certification body.
Who files the declaration of conformity?
An applicant registered in the EAEU, usually your company. An Italian factory cannot be the applicant, but we obtain from it the documents and samples needed.
Is digital marking required?
In Kazakhstan, mandatory code marking already applies or is being phased in for a number of product groups. The list keeps growing, so check the current requirements for your product before shipping.
