Pitti Uomo takes place at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence twice a year and brings together menswear, footwear and accessories brands. For a buyer it is a chance to see next season's collections in a few days and discuss terms in person. We prepare your visit so that the fair ends in orders: we shortlist exhibitors for your market in advance, book meetings, interpret and put agreements in writing. After the fair we take you to Prato, where you can find a manufacturer for your own label.
Pitti Uomo dates
Pitti Uomo is held twice a year. The winter edition (Pitti Uomo 111) runs 12-15 January 2027 and the summer edition 15-18 June 2027. Venue: Fortezza da Basso, Florence. In January brands show fall-winter collections, in June the following spring-summer. Dates are taken from the Pitti Immagine website; check with the organiser before you travel.
How to get in
Pitti Uomo is a trade-only event for buyers, retailers, distributors and press. Registration is online on the Pitti Immagine website, and the organiser usually asks you to confirm your professional status, for example with company details. We tell you what to prepare; you apply for accreditation with the organiser yourself.
Where to stay and getting there
The Fortezza da Basso is next to Santa Maria Novella station, so the most convenient base is central Florence within walking distance. Hotels get pricier and sell out during the fair, so book as soon as you decide to go. Prato is about half an hour from Florence by train or car, so factories can be visited the next day.

If you cannot travel, our buyer at Pitti Uomo visits the booths on your list, collects catalogues and price lists, agrees the styles with you in the messenger and confirms the order.
Sample buying trip
Day 1
Arrival in Florence, airport pickup and a short briefing: buying goals, budget, brand list.
Day 2
The fair: scheduled meetings with shortlisted brands, interpreting, catalogues and price lists collected.
Day 3
Prato: two or three menswear factories, discussing samples, fabrics and minimum runs.
Day 4
Wrap-up meeting: offers compared, suppliers chosen, order and delivery plan agreed.
When to start preparing
Ideally 2-3 months ahead: October-November for the January edition, March-April for June. That gives us time to shortlist brands and book meetings, and gives you time to find accommodation at a reasonable price.
Frequently asked questions
Can I attend Pitti Uomo without my own store or brand?
The fair is aimed at trade professionals, and the organiser decides on access under its own rules. If you do not have a company yet, we suggest an alternative: live shopping from showrooms or a visit straight to the factories in Prato.
Can I place an order at the fair?
Many brands take orders at the booth or within a few weeks after the fair. We put agreements in writing and follow the order through to payment and shipment.
How much does the agent cost?
A commission on the order value: 10% up to €2,000, 9% above €2,000 and 7% above €5,000. Minimum order €500. The scope of support at the fair is agreed before the trip.
Can I buy remotely without travelling?
Partly, yes. Our buyer at Pitti Uomo can walk the booths for you, collect catalogues and price lists and discuss terms with the brands. Before and after the fair we run live shopping in showrooms and factories. Filming at booths is only possible with the exhibitor's consent.
