A label is sewn into every garment, so a mistake on it is expensive: a wrong fibre content or country of origin can cause problems at the point of sale. We order labels from Italian manufacturers and check every text before printing. For sale in the EU, the fibre composition must be stated under Regulation 1007/2011, as a rule in the language of the country of sale. Care symbols are not required by a single EU regulation, but many retailers and some markets expect them. We check the requirements for your country before ordering.

FAQ
What must a clothing label show in the EU?
The fibre composition in percentages, using the fibre names from EU Regulation 1007/2011. That regulation does not require country of origin, care or size, but individual countries and retailers may, so check the rules for your market.
When can a product say Made in Italy?
When its last substantial transformation took place in Italy, which for clothing is, as a rule, the sewing. Italian law allows 100% Made in Italy only if design, production and packaging are all carried out in Italy.
What are the minimum quantities for woven labels?
Label makers set their own minimum, depending on size, number of colours and finishing. We tell you the figure before you order.
What if I sell outside the EU, for example in Russia, Kazakhstan or the UAE?
Labelling requirements vary by country. For instance, the EAEU countries (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan) apply their own technical regulations, and in Russia many clothing items also need the mandatory Chestny Znak digital marking. Check the rules with a certification agency or broker: the codes are ordered by the importer, and we will prepare the labels based on your data.
