Shipping from Italy to the UAE
We collect your order from factories in Prato and Florence and ship it to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the other emirates by air, sea or express courier.
The UAE is a member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which applies a common customs tariff. For most goods, including clothing and fabrics, duty is as a rule 5% of the CIF value, with 5% VAT charged on top. The exact rate depends on the HS code, so we confirm the classification before shipping. We collect the goods from suppliers, inspect and pack them, and handle export clearance in Italy. Import clearance in the UAE is done by the consignee with an importer code or by your customs broker: they receive the full document set from us before the cargo arrives.
How we ship to the UAE
Air freight
Consolidated air shipments from Northern Italian airports to the UAE. Suited to urgent orders and lots of a few hundred kilos.
Sea freight to Jebel Ali
LCL or full container from Livorno, Genoa or La Spezia. Cost-effective for large volumes when your timeline allows.
Express to your door
International couriers for samples and small orders, delivered straight to your office or boutique.
One shipment
We combine goods from several factories into a single consignment, so you don't pay to ship each box separately.
Export pack
Commercial invoice, packing list, export declaration and, when needed, a certificate of origin from the Italian Chamber of Commerce.
Broker liaison
We send the documents to your broker or consignee in the UAE and track the cargo until it clears customs.
Why it's easier with us
Inspection before dispatch
Goods are checked on site, so any claims are settled in Italy, not after the cargo lands in Dubai.
Clean paperwork
The invoice shows the real value and the real country of manufacture: the basis for smooth clearance.
The right transport
We compare air, sea and express for each specific lot and explain the difference in cost and transit time.
A team you can reach
We manage your order in English, Russian, Italian and German, on the messenger you already use.
FAQ
What duties and taxes are paid in the UAE?
As a rule, 5% duty on the CIF value (goods, insurance and freight) plus 5% VAT, calculated on the value plus duty. Some HS codes carry different rates, so your broker makes the exact calculation from the product code.
Is there a reduced duty for EU goods?
Not at present. An EU-UAE free trade agreement is under negotiation but not yet in force, so standard GCC rates apply. If that changes, we'll tell you which proof of origin you need.
Who clears the cargo in the UAE?
The importer: a company with a trade licence and customs code, or a broker or express carrier acting on its behalf. We prepare documents that are sufficient to file the declaration.
Can you ship to a free zone?
Yes. Duty and VAT treatment in free zones differs from the UAE mainland, so check the import procedure with the free zone operator or your broker in advance.
