The EU and Ukraine have a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA). For many EU industrial goods, clothing included, Ukrainian import duties are abolished or reduced, but the preference does not apply automatically: customs clearance requires proof of preferential origin. For consignments up to €6,000 an origin declaration on the invoice is usually enough; larger ones need an EUR.1 certificate or a statement by a registered exporter (REX). Import VAT in Ukraine is 20%, charged on the customs value plus duty. One important detail: "Made in Italy" on the label does not by itself mean preferential origin. For clothing, the origin rules usually also look at where the fabric was made, so the preference does not fit every style. We check the origin of materials with the factory before payment, and your customs broker releases the goods in Ukraine using the documents we send in advance.

Groupage road freight
We ship anything from a few cartons to a full truck through our logistics partners. Transit takes roughly one to two weeks, depending on how busy the border crossings are.
Origin for the DCFTA
We ask the factory where the fabric and the garment were made, and issue an origin declaration or EUR.1 only where the goods meet the agreement's rules.
Ukrainian labels
We agree labels or stickers in Ukrainian with the factory: product name, fibre composition in percent, size, care symbols and the details of the Ukrainian importer.
Composition checks
We compare the sewn-in label with the actual composition. Ukraine's technical regulation on textile fibres is based on EU rules, so mistakes show up immediately.
Documents for your broker
The invoice with HS codes, packing list, CMR and export declaration reach your broker before the truck arrives at the border.
Split by consignee
If the goods go to several shops or marketplace sellers, we pack and mark the cartons separately for each recipient.

FAQ
Will Italian clothing enter Ukraine duty-free?
For goods of preferential EU origin, duty under the DCFTA is as a rule abolished or reduced. If the fabric was made outside the EU, the style may not meet the origin rules, and then the standard rate applies. Your broker calculates the exact amount by commodity code.
Who clears the goods through customs in Ukraine?
The importer, meaning your company or your sole proprietorship (FOP), usually through a customs broker. We handle the export side in Italy and prepare the document set for the Ukrainian declaration.
Which language must the labels be in?
Consumer product information must be in Ukrainian; other languages may be added. The label shows fibre composition, care, size and importer details. It is best to confirm the requirements for your category with a broker or a testing laboratory.
How does martial law affect delivery?
Shipments are moving, but border times and insurance terms can change. We agree the route, insurance and approximate transit time with the carrier for each consignment, without promises that cannot be kept.
